2013 5.0 Exhaust Help - Pictures and Video added

In need of some help here. For my last 2 trucks I have always just taken my truck to my local "off road" shop and had them put on exhaust for me. I just bought a 2013 FX4 5.0 and have started putting together my own exhaust like most of you do. I went with the Borla 40085 (3in/3out) for the muffler and Borla 20246 tip (3in/4out).

I'm wanting to keep the factory look with the single exit behind the passenger tire. Is this as easy as taking my Borla muffler and tip to my muffler shop and asking them to remove my stock muffler and weld on my new muffler and tip?

If I read correctly, the new F150's are 3" throughout the stock exhaust so it should be straight forward to what i want to achieve, right?

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

If i remember correctly it 3" just after the y then turns to 2.5" before and after the resonator into the muffler then 3" after the muffler. i would just get the muffler shop to remove the resonator and put new 3" from the y to the new muffler.

I don't want the crackling, popping sound you get with flowmaster, will removing the resonator have any affect on that? I'm looking for the deep, smooth tone.

It will have popping on deceleration but it's not trashy at all. The modular motors with straight through round body mufflers tend to do it. You're going to really like it

No problem! These modular motors were made for Borla mufflers haha. They really create a sweet tone

I had them remove the resonator. I feel that it has the perfect tone, exactally what i was looking for.

I'll have to post a video later on this afternoon.
