Exhaust for 5.0 V8
Don't really know what comes stock on the 5.0's, but in my opinion there is not a better sounding dual exhaust available than a true dual Magnaflow. My personal preference is a Lightning style exit with two single in single out Magnaflow mufflers perceded by an X-pipe and followed with slash cut tips.
A 4" exhaust is pretty big IMO. I think you'll lose low-end torque.
Comparing price and quality of custom vs. kits really depends on where you live and what level of service you can get. Where I'm at its expensive and the quality is not very good for custom work. Kits are much much better for me.
I have the Corsa db SI/SO kit on my truck and I love it. Sounds good, fits good and overall quality is good... absolutely no drone. The only other kit I've considered is the Roush, but that looks like a pretty loud setup.

Have tried many setups. Personally I enjoy deep over kakel sound. If you're not wanting a overly loud exhaust, want deep sound and able to hear lightly in cab... 50 series Flowmaster, 1 in and 2 out. Turn down over rear axle (pointed at ground). Very affordable setup compared to what mentions I've seen on here. I've posted example of my setup with 5.3, should be deeper and faster reving with 4.6 & 5.4
f150 5.0 muffler
i just recently bought my 2014 f150 with the 5.0 motor. i want to put duals on it but i dont want to not have a muffler on it. i was wondering what the loudest muffler on the market is. i dont care about drone in the cab or anything i just want it to be loud as possible with still having a muffler. any info would be appreciated thanks.

This will give you one of the best sounding trucks IMHO, with a good volume. If it's still not loud enough buy the resonator delete kit...
If you have anymore questions start a new thread, it'll help with any confusion..
P.S. thanks for using the search feature
