Huh. Yea, I missed that he went w/2.5 M/bent. Well, from what I recall. On the Dyno, you can tune open headers NA and stock for better numbers EVERYWHERE thru the powerband. You only have to much flow when your not tuned for it.

But.

I'm not sure or I should say, I haven't seen what could be tuned for MORE power/torque NA and stock using 2.25 over 2.5. According to the pipe chart and posted info from the past, it looks like 2.25 for TD's is the correct choice for a stock engine. Not that you would necessarily loose with 2.5, unless you haven't tuned, but perhaps -gain even more reducing down to 2.25 tuned.

I'd have to go with 2.25. I believe that's what Openclass pro went with in the past and had great results. I think Troyer tuned his Vans using that set up.

Correct Jim, Phil said it had more torque than the 3" OEM single exhaust

^ Schweet!!!

However, I believe you'd be better off with a Gryphon or SCT. Custom tunes available with these units =

[QUOTE=DarrenWS6;4866805]True dual exhaust pipes will not cause a visual fail for inspection. He is still running an exhaust past the cab with catalytic converters. 100% legal, even in California. Minus the hi-flow cat part for C.A.QUOTE]

1. Federal regs prohibit even touching the system for 8 yrs/80k miles
2. Even if the truck was past this, True duals would require the removal of the "wye-Pipe", this removal would require immediate tagging (e-registration)- ask me how my neighbor knows with his GMC 4x4!
