Headers on 97 4.6l

My friend wants to get some headers for his 97 f150 2wd.

I told him that he would probably want to get the long tube headers, since usually shorties dont provide much improvement over stock. He wants it to be alittle louder and have some more power.

Now I was wondering what brand and part number you guys would recommend?
-Also, if you have to delete emissions with that specific header can you let me know, I think he has all the emissions stuff on the truck still, its been slightly modified by a previous owner.

I dont know a whole lot about these ford trucks.

thanks ahead of time.

PI (performance improved) if available for the 4.6 would help. Headers would be a full exhaust system. LTs, hi flow cats, a crossover (x style) and a straight thru style muffler. Also run 2.25 mandrel bent pipe. This is for duel exhaust.

Other members have talked about a si/do setup for those with that prefrence.

Read the exhaust guide. Lots good info.
