Exhaust muffler for inline 300 choices/options?

Ok so i picked up a project 1976 f100 with the inline 300.

The exhaust broke right before the muffler so its just an excuse to upgrade

I know for sure i dont want a loud muffler so no slowmasters/glasspacks or anything a 16 yr old wants on there lol

That being said what could i go with for a mellow tone not loud or silent but just riiiight

I know you said no glasspacks but, a really long glasspack, like 40", has a really mellow tone and no "popping" or raspiness....it's great on a straight 6. Only a few long glasspacks out there to chose from but they have a deep rumble if you listen closely.

If you're dead set on not running a glasspack, try a magnaflow muffler...they are one of the quietest performance mufllers.

Are you looking to redo the whole system, or just replace it from where it broke and back?

Do you want a single or dual exit?

3" in/out super 44 sounds good on mine. Deep tone.

A 14" long - 2.5" I/O Dynomax Super Turbo will do the trick. I had one on my newly purchased 1995 4.9L XL longbed.
