2 New Cat Questions

OK, couldn't find any answers on these two...

-I have a CA built truck, but the truck is no longer located or registered in CA Plan is for the infamous 94106 universal hi flow cats. However, Magnaflow website says not for CA OBDII equipped vehicles. Inspection/emissions aside, will there be any problems mechanically running these cats on my CA truck?

-We've covered welding a bung in the pipe right behind the cat for the downstream O2 sensor. However, Maggie has cat # 94136 that has one bung already installed and 94166 that has two bungs already installed. What's wrong with one of these options? Is it the wrong thread or somethign for our O2 sensors? Why are these not the more popular option?

Purty much take yer pick. No OBDII issues.

I'd use the bung-equipped cats - one less invasion into yer tubing that way.

Threads are ALL standard.

*EDIT* - from Innovate's LM-1 manual - fyi on bung/sensor installation:

Install the oxygen sensor’s bung upstream from the catalytic converter
(a bung and plug is included in the LM-1 kit). Any decent muffler or
exhaust shop can do this for you. The wide-band oxygen sensor is then
installed into the bung to take a reading. (Insert the plug into the bung
when not in use). The bung must be installed in the exhaust pipe at
the side or on top, NOT on the bottom of the exhaust pipe. Best
position is between 10:00 and 2:00 position.

With these cats combined with the LT's, wouldn't I want them orientated so the sensor is aft/downstream of the cat? The forward sensor will be installe in the header, so I want the aft sensor 'after' the cat. (first scentence in your reference says install upstream)

Sorry - should have edited that paragraph ( it's for a wideband sensor install) - just the bolded part is what I wanted to convey. O2's get compromised from condensate if not oriented as indicated.

I'd get 94136's... my shop put the bungs in my 94106s, but I am replacing them with the 94106s since I have a slight leak somewhere and had a misfire

If you get the 94136 with one bung, can they be turned to flow so the bung is downstream? i.e. these cats can be mounted to flow either direction, or are they mount one-way?

The 94136 has the bung at the end of the converter for the rear O2 sensors

And since we're talkin cats...I assume the concensus would be since I'm dropping all this dime on a system, might as well spring for new O2 sensors??? At least the forward ones?

Yep - all 4.

And use Motorcraft ( Rockauto).

Here's why: http://www.vmptuning.com/forum/showthread.php?t=825

Cool. Looking at RockAuto (I use them all the time anyways) they only have one MC part listed for the forward and one part listed for the aft, so those must be the right ones.
