Along with cab corners, inner fenders, frame, and spare tire rim, rust up where I hail from is a pita... You just get dirtier when working on it. I haven't decided which is worse to get in you eye tho, rust or oil...
yeah long story short NYS dmv messed up my title and both my dad's and my name need to be on the registration for insurance purposes and for some reason they didn't make the title out that way so instead of redoing it here in NY my dad lives in Indiana and he registered it down there. so now i have a sweeter license plate and i don't need the front plate! haha
and Darren i went with the Stainless set since i live here in WNY and they love salt, and they were not much over $300 dollars. the headers themselves are really nice quality all around. just make sure you get different gaskets and bolts than what come with them
I went ahead and got the ceramic coated ones as well. I posted pics in a thread a few days ago. Got them for $350 shipped from Amazon.

Well if it's like mine it's not as pretty as some on here and I live in a heavy salt zone. I get under with a pump sprayer and goggles every year and spray it. Let me tell you, it's an old 98 but the whole undercarriage looks only a couple years old. Spay it then go down a dirt road in the fall. Wash it reg in winter and pressure wash in spring. I give it another coat but I'm **** bout that. It's nice having original cag corners and no door rot sittin next to a rotted out 99-03 at a light and mine looks newer.
Not to mention sounds better! Even tho it's an old floaster the Maggie high flows and jba headers give it a sick deep tone. The reason it was do loud b4 headers was the egr was not attached and there were two cracks I could see thru on both sides. I'd go to bk and have to turn it off to order.

my rockers are just startin to rot as well as the bottoms of the doors are startin to rust. but i'm only lookin to get like 2-3 more years outta truck and since i'm gettin the new bed, i'm just gonna spray paint it to cover it up but do it the right way. just so it looks good lol

new cold start vid. if you listen to this and the original cold start vid (before jba's) you can really notice the difference of tone at idle. JBA's are definitely deeper and healthier sounding, nothing crazy, but i think it's pretty noticeable and i'm very happy with em!

Gotts mod it's takin out a part of the stock intake freeing things up a little. Same thing if I were to hollow out the airbox of my snowmobile. search gotts mod
Yeah it deff sounds better. My flowmaster finally rotted off so now I get true duals and x pipe. Torn between bullets and magnapacks. Watched darrenws6 videos on YouTube for almost an hour tryin to decide...

finally got a take-off (75% throttle) along with a cruise by right around 40 mph (at like the 1:29 mark, you can also hear me turning around after that also) with my exhaust fixed. still a VERY small leak from the collector, but it's so old/worn that it's as good as it's gonna get and i don't wanna spend any more money if i don't have to lol. still the same setup... GOTTS mod, JBA shorty stainless headers, stock cats/midpipe, 2.5" in/out dynomax bullet, magnaflow y-pipe 2.5", to duals SOTB with 18x4" angle-cut Gibson tips.
