New headers now throwing codes. Egr delete help please

I just installed some jba ss headers and when I went to go put on my new egr I needed Two male attachments and I had a female on one end. I was sick of working on it so I cut off the old male end off the old one and the new one off the new one, welded them both shut and threaded them in and drove.
Now I have some codes, obv, I have 0401 the egr one and p1131 which concerns me more. Says running lean. I am not sure if I did the egr delete properly and will be hurting my engine because of it. I'd like to know how to properly do an egr delete and have not found it yet. Jbrew had a good link I saw once but I didn't bookmark it.
Other than that the headers sound alright. I think I need a better cat back to get some better sound. I could see through the old manifolds so I deff knew where the tick was from.

You just remove all that crap and cork two locations(proper, not with cork lol). Easy to do, but you'll need to get the program deleted thru a tuner. That's if you don't want CEL/MIL illumination and the PO401 DTC.

The 1131. That's S11 right ? Crap! Alright. ~ P1131 Lack Of HO2S11 Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean

Yea that's Bank 1S1 (passenger side) Disconnect battery/disconnect O2 connector/ clean connector thoroughly. It may look clean, - just clean it anyway. Reconnect, - make sure there isn't a stone chip or whatnot preventing the connector from fully engaging and try it again.

Generally that DTC is a bad sensor, if it just pops up out of the blue. Being that you were screwing around over there, you either got a wire or it's the connector IMO.

Yeah my buddy did the pass side so he might have bumped it I'll crawl up in there and clean it. I left inner fender out bc I'm gonna re tourque today. I should clean the electrical connection or disconnect the u2 outta the bung and clean that?
I'm gonna send my edge cs to php so they should be able to take care of the code when I custom tune it. Should I plug the vacuum lines too? The throttle body ad the header are sealed right up. No leaks yet.

NOT the O2, buddy - attempting to clean that will likely destroy it. Just the electrical connector. Check the O2 to ensure it's snug, though.

Good luck - yer in good hands with the ol' sword-swallowing 'Brewster

*EDIT* - Y'all don't need to send the hardware back to PHP = the upgrades are handled entirely via their server. Great, eh? There's info on that in the Chips forum and on PHP's site/forum.

Yes sir, - need some heavy fiber to move that out. - And something to clamp down on.

BTW- A PO401 can come from an exhaust leak on the drivers side, - close to, OR the EGR pipe.

Yeah I was a little skeptical about pulling u2 out. I'd prolly do something silly like wire brush it... Lol but that's cool that I can upgrade over the internets, probably thru fusion I am assuming. The truck is actually quieter I think with the headers. Not when I'm on it tho. Seems quieter because I could see thru the manifold cracks.
