Okay almost exhaust revamp time, need some help!

I have just a cheap true dual system now with stock manifolds, all 4 stock cats, and pipe to dual glasspacks then 45ed out the back to 3.5inch tips.
I have a 2001 4.6 4x4. Im thinkin pacesetter longtubes, to either highflowcats or the stock smaller 2 cats, and then from there on I have no clue what I should do. I love torque but idk whether I should do a ypipe to SI/SO or an xpipe to true duals. What do yall suggest.

OBX headers for one. Then for torque with long tubes, run a y pipe to a 3" mid pipe and muffler.

so you are thinking I would like a 3inch SI/SO? I mean I prefer a growl when I want it, but I can deal with the loudness of true duals all the time. And will those obx's fit my 2001 4.6 4x4? Btw, the deeper the tone, the more I like it.

So do you want sound or torque?

I don't know about obx fitting, but if they will fit, they are nice headers.

For a strong torque curve i recommend running 3" si/so system with dual 2.5" exits if you like. As far the muffler? how loud do you want it? haha

And while your doing new system, get some larger magnaflow cats. They will help tone the noise down compared to your stock front cats.

I think you will like the sound better with that single 3" compared to dual 2.25". 2.25" gets really small threw the smooth bent corners. I think it tends loose some tone compared to larger pipes.

3" single exhaust can still sound great, especially with long tubes!
