4.6 4x4 Headers! Searched but no luck on any forum!

OKay so I want a set of headers for my 2001 4.6 4x4 but I cant figure out what fits. I see somepeople saying that the ones from pacesetter (part number 702227) will fit the 4.6 but I have only seen them installed on a 97-99 4.6 2wd. WHAT header fits the 4x4 version of the 4.6 from 2001 (PI heads)

I don't see why any header won't fit. My understanding is the heads for the 4.6 and 5.4 are the same, P.I differs from the years 97-98, but any years 97 on the exhaust ports are the same. I know the intake ports are different. That said, any header for a 5.4 would bolt up, or should. The rest of the exhaust might bolt up a bit off. Headers made for 2wd fit 4x4's, just the headers though. Someone can better explain it who maybe has done it?

PI heads dont make a difference the blocks are the same along with the exhaust ports. Yes the deck height on the 5.4 is higher but not much. The only issue I ran into with my LTs is they tap the framerail crossmember but ever so slightly. The headers will fit but its the piping that has to be modified.

there are alot of options for the 01 in shorty headers that will bolt right up.
its the long tubes that you will have to look around for and expect to have a trip to the exhaust shop for the install to get exhaust matched back up.
