Your afr's change with long tubes due to velocity and exhaust scavenging, tunes also change ratios due to fuel tables as previously mentioned

the only long tubes i have seen for 4.6 were made by Pacesetter.
they offer the crappy painted steel and a ceramic coated steel but i had a set of ceramic coated shorty headers on my 97 f-150 and was not impressed with how they looked only about a yr old.
i never had any problems with cracks or leaks but they did not look like i thought they should for what they cost.
i will only buy stainless steel from now on !

I have had BBK stainless shorties on for 10 years with OEM gaskets and have never had a problem and a decent difference over stock. For the money it was worth it. They bolted right in. Long tubes will require a complete change in the exhaust and cost a butt load more to do.
