Go ahead and make one. Lets see what it sounds like, then tell us how much you have in it, and long it took you to make it.

this will forever be debated and it all really boils down to personal preference. its almost like asking which is better, blonds or brunettes?

i have always run flowmaster 40s on almost everything i have owned with the exception of my C6 vette that i put a full Corsa system on.

people say flowmasters don't sound good but i beg to differ. just the other day i was pulling out of the post office and a guy walked up to my window. i rolled it down and he asked me what kind of exhaust i was running. i told him i had the 5.4L with a flowmaster 40 SI/DO with turndowns right behind the muffler and he was shocked. he had a 2008 5.4 with two magnaflows SI/SO running all the way out the back bumper and he said his didn't sound near as good as mine. i love the way mine sounds and apparently this magnaflow owner did too.

Funny, because everywhere I go people ask "you got some Flowmayster's and an H-pipe?". They seem confused and scared when I tell them I've got Magnaflows and an X-pipe. I never got any compliments when I had my 40 series because every vehicle with a bed has them.

having turndowns right behind the muffler makes a big difference compared to having pipe off the muffler all the way to the bumper or out the side. i dont have a X-pipe or H-pipe so how do you like them apples? lol

Just a couple corrections...You have turndowns AFTER or in front (not behind) the muffler and you dont have an X or H pipe because you have a single muffler. (SIDO) OF course have turndowns sounds different then having the piping extending out from UNDER the truck to the back or side. The sound is strictly under the truck. It sounds good, but its mostly just an echo effect. You get the TRUE sound of a muffler(s) from extending the piping from out under the truck and actually get to hear the TONE of the muffler when the sound isnt being forced down to the ground under the truck. But to each his own! Your truck is just sicker than mine but my exhaust is better

You want some real tone out of that Junkmaster? Cut the turn downs off and just leave it open at the end of the muffler. You won't believe the difference.
