Magnaflow 16520 or Flowmaster 409S

Alright guys, i've been a longtime lurker and a first time poster. But I recently bought a 2008 XLT 4.6L. Looking to do some work on it and i've decided to I want dual pipes out the back. Not true duals though.
I've narrowed it down to two different part numbers

Either the Magnaflow 16520 - http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopdisplayproducts.asp?make=FORD%20TRUCK&model=F-150%20PICKUP&year=2008

Or

Flowmaster 409S - http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_ id=4323&ab=817417&recordID=496&vehicle=&orig=81741 7

What do you guys think? Are these two good choices or would you recommend something else. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome and to start off everyone will say the maggys because they are a straight through and will sound better. Second go to youtube and look up videos to see which sound you like better.

I had a look at the youtube vids, but found it a little difficult to tell the difference. My speakers are really ****ty.
Kind of wanted to hear what everyone thought via personal experience

Is there anything else you would recommend I look at? I gather that this is a moderate-aggressive tone from what i've read. Is there anything I can do to make it louder

I too am new to this forum (great info on here). I just purchased my 06 fx4 S-crew and love it. I had just gone through this same delemia. Magnaflow or Flowmaster. My 2 cents: I went with magnaflow cause I think Flowmaster gets louder a few weeks after its installed. A little louder than I personally like. Went with Magnaflow duals out the back. I very happy with it. Its loud when you want and quiet when you need.

Cheers all-

You got that backwards yalah. Flowmaster has nothing in it to make it louder. Magnaflow does. Stainless and rockwoll packing material. They will get louder after they are installed.

Roush Off Road = best system you can get on these trucks in my opinion. I think many people would agree. It's loud but tame at cruise. Screams under acceleration though and is Borla engineered

I just put a Magnaflow SIDO on my 2007 4.6 and I think it sounds great! I had a hard time deciding between Flowmaster and Magnaflow as well. But I am glad I picked the Magnaflow....nice deep sound not to loud...but just perfect!
Good luck
Cheers

I'm looking to put the magnaflow 16520 system on my 2004 5.4L and was wondering if there was extra parts I needed or any modifications that will need to be done during installation?
