01 Lightning

I am sorry if this question has been asked and answered but I just bought a 01 lightning with low miles on it I want to upgrade the intake but i am coming across that some of them say 98-01early ad some says 2001.5-to what ever Would a May 2001 be considered 2001.5 and does any one know what the diffrence was between the mid year and earlie

Since you have now a Lightning (jealous by the way), you'd pick up a lot of info at nloc.net? and lightningrodder.com in addition to here. My guess is you are part of the 2001.5 and newer. May was the second to last month of the 2001 builds. A lot of people will suggest the Johnny Lightning ram air kit though, don't be surprised. I have it for my 4x4 Lightning soon to be conversion and it is nice!! Don't quote me but I think the difference in the years thing is the intercooler, they upgraded around mid 2001 I guess as the earlier ones were prone to leaks or just crap and/or smaller.
