Just curious anyone try one on their trucks yet?

I was hoping it be close to a corsa design/sound.


I've had 40series flowmaster, removed 2 cats, true dual exhaust, H pipe, magnaflow muffler, dynomac bullets, all on my previous 97 with the 4.6....they all sounded good and gave their own unique sound.

I now have a 99 with the 5.4 and thinking about giving it a little sound. I'm tired of the drone etc...really want to be able to drive on highway speeds and keep a conversation going.

I've driven in several vehicles with Corsa system and they sound good and have just about no drone at normal speeds, just when you get on it.

I've recently seen adds for the Dynomax VT mufflers, anyone use them?
Thoughts? I'll check out youtube at a later time, thought I would check on here first and see if anyone has personal experience with them.

My thought at first was it should work, but then seeing it has a internal spring makes me thinkg it will wear out fast with regular driving.

Thoughts?


ps: not really looking for suggestions on other mufflers, just mainly this one.

 

That muffler is nothing like a corsa, but I have no idea how it sounds. It is a good idea, but no sure how reliable it is. I say try it and make some flyby videos.

 

I'm sure it's nothing like a corsa. I only used it as reference because a corsa muffler is very quiet till you get on the throttle. No drone in cab. From the few clips I saw/heard on youtube the VT is very quiet in the cab with no drone but gives a nice sound outside when giving some throttle.

If I ended up with one I'll post up some clips.
