Muffler install

I want to install a new muffler on my '95 F-150. It has the 4.9 six.

How hard would it be (I know how to weld) to install a new one, or is this the time to make it "sound better"?

if you know how to weld, then a simple muffler swap that has the same inlet/outlet as your current pipes is easy.
