Finally picked up the engine for the f150 and when i was getting ready to begin the transplant found nickle sized holes in my stock manifolds, So I searched around and found a set of 5.4 manifolds for $100(used/like new condition) while everyone else around wants upwards of $500(new) for plain old manifolds and 300-700(new and used) for headers. So in the essence of trying to keep costs to a minimal considering the truck has sat for about 3 years and is eating up the pretty pennies i'm wondering about what options I have.

What are the differences between the 4.6L exhaust manifold and the 5.4L exhaust manifold, I've tried searching the forum and have found posts mainly in regards to 5.4L headers on a 4.6L block but what about the manifolds themselves,does the angle differ between the collectors so much that i will have to replace my exhaust? or can the difference be compensated for. What about mustang 4.6L headers for that matter.
