Yea, - get rid of the oiled element and replace it with a dry one and it's a nice system. Best box I ever seen.

No, K&N's are oiled. Custom nano fiber Amsoil, "dry" element

I have the same intake as well. Seems to work well, sounds nice, and looks great under the hood. It was the first mod I did to my truck and truely noticed a difference.

Oiled filters result in allot of MAF maintenance, regardless of how you oil or clean. Oiled filter media does not filter near as well as OEM filters.

It's been said, -oiled filters filter better when dirty. - Do the math on that lol.

They are much more work to service when the time comes.

Nano Fiber media filters more while maintaining all the flow your engine calls for; does this consistently. These are 100,000 mile filters. Installed mine 2008 and it still looks brand new. It's more of a repelling media and what accumulates falls free with a couple shakes. BUT, very very little accumulates. Since particles aren't embedded and remain on the surface material, they usually fall free on the own.

That what I've noticed anyway. I've ran K&N's for years, falling for all the hype. Found sand, dirt and oil inside the intake to many times to count. The MAF sensor as well.

Shouldn't matter on your year of truck....but custom tunes always add to the driveability of the vehicle...
