5.0L resonator delete question

Has anyone deleted the resonator on their 5.0 truck and left the oem muffler in place? If so, how is the sound at WOT and at cruise in the city & highway?

Thanks.

This is something that I would be interested in doing as well. There is a thread over on one of the Raptor forums about this very subject. Apparently the 2010 6.2L extension pipe (no resonator) will fit on the 2011 6.2L raptors with the 133" wheelbase. From what I can tell this *should* work on our 5.0L powered trucks as well. However, I cannot confirm that this part will work on a 145" wheelbase truck.

The part number being discussed is AL3Z5A212D

I would prefer to go this "bolt on" route, mainly because I don't want to hack up the factory exhaust. Really...this exhaust looks pretty good, is stainless, and sound good now (just too quiet). Pulling the resonator might get us to a sound level between factory and aftermarket.
