Yeah I guess I'll just hold out for a ROR muffler. I can't tell if it is even worth upgrading the factory y either. It doesn't look that bad. I can't tell if it would even be a noticeable difference

First a disclaimer: I do not want any drone and would like it to be like my ROR is currently inside the cab.

Been trying to gather info if my ROR is too loud with the LT's, and do it cheaply. The catted OBX LT's after the collectors are 2.5" and Y into a 2.5" pipe, so I think I'd have to make the Y exit into a 3" pipe which seems logical to me for flow. So 2.5" into 3" into a 3" BorlaProXS 4"x14" (no 18" in a 3" si/so) muffler to the single side exit tip before the tire? Will this sound good? Or go with a Magnapack?

08FX4's current exhaust sounds just like I'd want, perfect and mean.

A magnapack will kill your hearing with Lt's and hi flows in front of the tire

Yeah I guess I'll make my decision on the ride home next Saturday after the LT install...

May just go with rear turn downs. It's nice to have options...

I still would like to make the OBX LT's Y exit a 3" pipe though.

You could have them do to a 2.5 y to a 3" if you don't do true duals

Yeah after hearing 08FX4's exhaust I'm not doing true duals. It'll have to be 304 though since that's what the headers are. I'm funny like that.

Yeah the packs would be way too loud. Avoid ROund body muffler WIll... you are gonna want oval bodies. If you don't want the ROR in there if it's too loud, I'd say something like this
400241 - 3" inlet dual 2.5" 19" x 4" x 9 1/2" Center/Dual
according to Borla's site or you could down true duals with a di/do... they did that those.

Wondering if 3" to dual 2.25" will be enough flow since that's what the ROR is. I suppose it will be though since the S/C Roush trucks run that. The main thing is I do not want to butcher the ROR kit.

Yes that would be fine... 2.25 is the ideal size on these trucks for true duals, so you'd be ok esp with a 3" intermediate pipe I would think. If you come off 2.5" at the headers then have them go into a y pipe (like the factory set-up) except a dual 2.5" in single 3" out and mate it up to the ROR, you'd be fine

That is more than likely what I'll do. I just see a full 3" from headers to the muffler flowing better than 2.5" to 3" to the muffler.

I would do that too myself. Unless I could get mandrel bent 2.25 full SS duals, I'd do it the way I mentioned above

08FX4's truck changed my mind on true duals. That sounds/sounded amazing with hi-flow cats and the si/so magnapack into duals. I feel my ROR with the catted OBX header will sound similar if not better.

I keep playing his magnapack video over and over while I surf.

I does sound amazing, I could have the sound myself since I have the 94106's but idk if it would be too loud. MAYBE if I can't get the ROR I'll consider that
