do what i did, it is much easier to remove the rear cats b/c its a straight piece of pipe to replace it with instead of a bent pipe. theyre both illegal.

Yea, your forwards alone should pass the sniff. Might as well call them high flows once the rears are removed lol.

Your still within programmed parameters without the rears, so no CEL, -IF your connections are tight.

If you live in California, -you better not touch them, - don't even look at them, just forget they're there lol.

Hi Im a new member to the forum but ive been a member of the Expedition forum for about a year now and yes we stole the Gotts Mod from you guys lol. I was just wondering my truck is a 2002 5.4 liter with the 4 cats with two oxygen sensors before the pre cats and two BEHIND the main cats. I want to remove the rear cats but I am wondering if this will throw codes, some of the members say it will and some say it wont, so what are your guys opinions on this.

You are reading mixed reviews on this because it is a 50/50 shot of throwing a code. Search "o2 gotts mod" and see how easy it is to work around the code.

thank you frog, yes i read about the Gotts 02 mod and im going to be picking up some non foulers just in case i need them, hope i wont though seeing as another member on the expy forum called "racenut" has the same year as me and he did not throw a code. I have true daul with flowmaster 40 series, can I expect a big difference on the sound after the cat delete? Btw you guys all got some bad *** looking trucks

^ ok im pretty well mechanically skilled but I dont understand how do u hollow out the cats? U need to remove them and im guessing stab them through with screwdrivers or a pipe? Why not just remove them fully? Btw I picked up some non foulers today just incase I need them
