Just got back from the shop. All I can say is wow! There is a significant increase in volume, especially on startup, idol and WOT with the XR1. At cruising and highway speeds it is a little louder. The most significant change is the tone. It has much more of a growl and it doesn't sound quite as smooth as the Magnaflow. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

I'm glad I didn't go with true duals right now, as I'm not sure I could handle the volume and my wife may have divorced me if I had gone that route.

I shot a quick video of a cold start with my old Magnaflow last night and I plan to shoot one tonight with the XR1 for a comparison. Hopefully, I can get it posted tonight. If not, it will probably be this weekend.

Once again, thanks for all the advice guys.

Hmm, I have 94106's with a 14" si/do maggie (12198) Sounds like a roush off road to me. that is the sound I have been looking for. I can't tell how loud it is though

I keep comparing... the xr-1 with hi flows and the ROR with hi flows sound very similar. I might just do the xr-1

From the video you posted, they do sound kind of similar. As I said earlier there was a substantial increase in volume coming from the 18in Magnaflow. I'm sure the increase won't be as big of a difference with you since you've got a 14in Maggie. However, it should still bd noticeable.

I'll get some acceleration and driving videos this weekend and post those as well.

Sounds good! I'll look and see if I can find a smaller body muffler. How is the idle? Is it more chambered muffler like?

Nice, very nice. Sounds almost like a diesel to me. I would have thought it would sound similar to AVFROG's but it doesn't...at least to me.

Pro xs resemble the oval body mufflers like maggie 14",18" etc. XR-1s are aggressive but come in round and oval

Yeah, my XR1 is oval. I'm not sure what the sound difference would be with the round XR1.

Wow, I wasn't expecting such a growl from a SIDO.

I'm looking forward to the take off and hard acceleration videos.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'll get some more videos posted this weekend.

Not too sure how I like the sound at WOT. I'm not sure if its the echo or what but something sounds a little off. Maybe the videos will help figure it out.
