Question new exhaust/computer re-set

I am hopefully getting a Gibson Swept Side installed on my truck tomorrow. I have heard some say you should re-set your computer when you do this. Is this needed and if so, how do you re-set the computer? The only other modification I have done this far is a K&N FIPK and I did not re-set the computer.

Do It!!!!!!!!!

1. Turn headlamps on.
2. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
3. Let it sit for about 1/2 hour.
4. Turn headlamp switch off.
5. Reconnect negative battery terminal.
6. Rock & Roll!!!!!!!!

Ooops:
Hopefully, you're getting the "Y" pipe done at the same time.

PS: EVERY time you make a change, you SHOULD reset the ECM.

Done. Thank you! Just to let you know, I did not change the y-pipe. And when your ask yourself "I wonder why he did not do that?" it is because I really did not think about it. I took the Gibson by a locally owned muffler shop and they quoted me $50.00 to install, so I just left it there. When I picked it up they had even welded it. I have not ordered a y-pipe yet. I do plan on changing the y-pipe in the future though. Thanks for the help.
