Question pipe diam of Gibson sideswept and dual sports

Hey Guys,
Wondering if anyone knows the pipe diameters of these two exhausts. I'm thinking of getting one very soon. Also, if anyone can offer up any advice/ opinions, that would be very cool.

thanks,
ronb.

I've got the SS and it is a 3" inlet/outlet and 3" mandrel tail pipe with a 3.5" stainless tip. Not positive on the DS, but I'd think it has a 2.5"inlet and two 2.5" outs. That's only a guess on the DS.

I really like the SS. It's just a tad louder then stock, but that's what I wanted. It's supposed to give you some more low end power.

I started to install myself, but didn't have the proper cutting tools to get the old system out. Just took it to a muffler shop and had them install it. They welded the joints too, so I don't have those ugly clamps everywhere.

Thumbs up Swept Side Rocks!

What he said about the Swept Side.

The Dual Sport I believe is 3" in and 2x2.5" out with the same 3.5" slash tips.

If you just want a nice "big Block" rumble with no loos or even a little low end gain, Swept Side is it. Dual Sport is about 2 times louder which isn't wsaying much. Gibson says Swept Side is 2-3 decibels louder that stock and Dual Sport about 4-5.

Click on the link at the bottom of my sig. I have a couple of recordings of when it was first installed (I installed it myself, search for post back in the Feb time frame from me)

The recording next to the tail pipe sounded so much louder than I thought it really sounded. However, it's got slightly louder after a couple thousand miles. Not too loud, big sounds great. Remember mines a stock appearance EB Expy and it sounds great!

Yea.... what they said!

I have the side swept on my '95 and it's great. Went on easy also. If you plan to do the install yourself, borrow an exhaust tubing cutter from the parts store loaner tools. It's a chain with a tubing cutter wheel on every other link. Makes short work of removing the old exhaust. On mine the head pipe took a little work but not bad.

Putting the new stuff on was childs play.

The side swept is quiet. Mine deepened up a little more after a few hundred miles, but is still fairly mellow.
