black chrome anyone?

just got these back from a friend that just started powder coating...
4X18 15 degree rolled tips...

this is just after putting a coat of wheel clear coat on them. as you can see in the background, a MUCH better upgrade than what is currently on the truck now..

I had a Black Chrome, Triple dipped SS Silverline tip on my '05 Titan Crew Cab that looked really sharp. It's nice to see something different every now and then. Looks good... Enjoy...

i hope they look all right ON the truck!!

also, as soon as the weather lightens up i am going to PTM the bumpers...

I like those! How will the powder coat hold up to the exhaust heat?

Not the best picture but I've had these on my truck for about 4 months now its the same thing you did. (Thats just ice on my truck)

They are still holding up as good as day 1. One thing you are going to make sure you want to do is paint the rest of the exhaust with either some rustoleum high heat grille paint or VHT flame proof paint. Because 1) they stick out horribly and look really bad with the pipe and 2) it'll help with the rust. Thats just what I did.

Black chrome

Looks nice but I can't tell if the chrome is showing through though. I would like to do this to my 78' bumpers and grill but would like it to be translucent and be able to have the chrome effect.... just blackened some. Any suggestions?

it does have a slight chrome effect. looking straight at them they are black but turning them and such you see the chrome slightly. its kind of like the chameleon paint where it changes colors if you get what im saying?

I have 4-5" wide oval tips w/ rolled edges in black chrome. Not the best pics, but......

88rxn/a: Lol sometimes I swear I have OCD, I am an absolute perfectionist......but honestly I just think that it stands out horribly when you don't paint them.
