Out of the ordinary exhaust

Instead of taking muffler away from the vehicle, has anyone added a second 26" muffler to quiet down the truck? I like the idea of a sleeper more than some harley truck. Anyway, I was to do long tubes with electric cutouts, and behind them I want to add cats and 2 stock mufflers. Or if I can find something other then stock thats quiet, 2 of those.

So has anyone done this?

I am trying for something that is as close to silent as possible. I am going to be putting a good sound system in my car, and I need to run the car when I am running the sound system. At shows I will probably keep it around 2500RPM for about 5 minutes while I play music. I just want something that you can hardly hear when you are driving, so when I am stopped its not screaming.

if you want it super quiet, then don't waste your money on long tube headers. Those won't help you. I don't think you can fit two stock mufflers under the truck. My truck is very quiet with the stock system on it. If you want it a bit quieter, then you could put a resonator on it after the muffler.
What are the cut outs for? If you put them before your cats, you will throw a code as soon as you crack them open, because your rear O2 sensors will not be reading what they should and that will throw a code. I am assuming that once in a while you want it loud, is that it?

If you are wanting to put true duals on it, then you will need the biggest bodied muffler you can find. It will need to have some baffling in it of some sort or it will rumble. The magna flows are made for performance and flow gains, and louder sound. I would not recomend that muffler. You would need more of a stock muffler setup.

I want an exhaust that is quiet for daily driving, but I want to be able to open that cut outs once in a while and let it rip when some moron in a civic tries to pull on me. The sound system I am installing could drown out any exhaust I put on the truck, even the cut outs I would imagine. I just dont want between notes a rumbling coming from the truck.

yeah, i cant find a magnaflow muffler big enough for what you want.

maybe you could keep you stock muffler and put something like a glasspack in front of it to act as a resonator?

You can make the exhaust as quiet as you want, but these engines are still noisy.
