Exhaust question!!

Could i remove my gibson muffler and put in a magnaflow y pipe? Would it sound deeper and louder? Or just raspy? Heres the y pipe.

all it does is just replace the stock y-pipe, you can keep the muffler unless i read it the wrong way and thought you meant you had to get rid of it.

I read it that he wants to remove the muffler and weld the Y-pipe into the intermediate pipe and out into dual tailpipes. Basically SIDO without the muffler. Which of course he can but it will be more raspy, IMO. Kind of an ambiguous question though.

I think that is what he meant. In that case... DON'T DO IT!

It will sound like crap.

This might be a dumb question but, is there a difference between the magna flow mufflers other than the length? Like what would be the muffle for me?

If your wanting straights then do true duals with either an x or H pipe. I went with the X pipe on the same model truck and love the sound. You can hear it in my sig.

Magnapack and Y pipe. Search for 08FX4's clips of his old truck. Absolutely the way to go.

^^^

Hardrock has that setup as well, its got some substantial noise to it.

I have a SI/SO magnapack, and its quite loud.

All 2-1/2"

When you say y pipe, does the y pipe make it dual in and dual out? instead of going single in and dual out?

Think i might have gotten it backwards haha.. So stock pipe and 08FX4 has a single inlet single outlet, but at the outlet theres a y pipe which converts it into dual out the back?? Maybe i got it right this time?
