Quick Exhaust Questions

Looking for a dual exhaust that doesn't sound too loud...just something with a little bit of a rumble...better than stock. I've heard Flo Pro from a place in town...including tips and installation...$275.

Also, what size tips? 3inch or 3 1/2? And how should I have it installed...straight back or behind the tires at an angle?

Any tips and/or suggestions?

I put on a Magnaflow Part# 12198. Its a 14" Oval muffler. It has a nice little rumble but you can't hear it at highway speeds. I don't have any tips so that would prabably keep it alittle quieter too. I want it alittle louder so I might be adding tips to it.

If you like the sound of flowmaster then that's what you'd get because the only muffler from flo-pro that I know people use is the v-force, which is the same thing as flowmaster.

So what I'm hearing is go with flowmaster...and flo pro sounds just like flowmaster (or close)...and its $275 total...so get the flo pro? 3 1/2inch tips?

no i'm not saying go with that particular muffler. I'm just saying it will sound exactly like a flowmaster muffler. So if that's what you like, then get the flo pro. You make sure you do your research on youtube and see if there's something else out there that sounds better to you.

Leave the Flowmaster's for the old school pushrods. Borla/Magnaflow/Bullets are perfect for SOHC's.

Hardrock3742--sounds great. Do you have hi flow cats on the truck or stock cats with the magnapack? Thanks.

Hardrock3742 has the 14 inch Magnapack which is louder than the 14" Magnaflow Part# 12198. Trust me when I say it's not loud at all. I didn't want loud either but I could stand for it to be alittle louder.
