Please help this clueless guy!

So I'm debating on putting a SI/SO exhaust on my 2010 5.4l. I want something with the least amount of drone possible and it doesn't have to be loud. I just want something that sounds good and looks better than stock. I was looking at the MBRP exhaust. Anyone out there with any experiance with this system? Are their any better options out there? Another thing is that this system comes in 3 different types of metal. Aluminum and 2 types of stainless. Do the different metals effect the sound in any way?

thanks ahead of time

how much $$ do you want to spend? If your on a budget and just want a little rumble, put an 18" oval body magnaflow in place of your stock muffler. Add a 4" tip and your good to go.

X2. look in to a Borla or Corsa if you want a different sound from everybody else.

Don't buy a premade kit. They end up costing almost triple what a custom made one costs. What mig suggested is dead on.

Take a look at the DynoMax website. They have one that they claim has a flow valve technology to minimize drone.

I just installed a Magnaflow SI/SO cat-back p/n 16518... sounds great but has a good bit of drone @ 1500-2200 rpm's while under load. Im looking at adding a 4" round resonator muffler in conjunction, according to a magnaflow tech it will reduce the drone w/o reducing hp
