A few questions before getting exhaust installed.

Getting ready to have my true dual magnapacks installed and was wondering if there is any reccomendations on positioning of the x-pipe and mufflers.

Going with high flow cats as well and i believe i read they should be mounted as close to manifolds as possible with 02 sensors mounted directly behind them. Correct??

Just not sure of optimal positioning of the rest of it.

Will positioning of the xpipe and mufflers make any difference in sound or performance??

Looks like theres alot of room between where the stock Y-pipe is and the stock muffler position so im assumming the X & magnapacks can be positioned in different ways.

My truck is a 08 5.4 xcab with 6.5' bed if it matters.

Thanks

After my high flow cats. they put new piping then right after the skid plate for the diff. the x-pipe. The mufflers are located about the same spot as the stock one just side by side into 2 4x18" tips. hope that helps a little. any mre questions just ask.

Displacement will alter sound. X pipe as far forward (best exhaust scavenging), and mufflers as far backwards (least drone) as you can in front of the rear axle.

Unless your priority is HP then mounting the mufflers closer to the manifold is better.
