yes I have read almost every thread in this section, I went to a local shop today and he reccomended 2 things, a flowmaster ko series because he is a huge fan of flowmasters... and another one that looks like a glass back but it wasnt hollow like it.

I am wanting to 45 them out the side, what would yall reccomend? I was smooth sounding but sounds really good and loud and doesnt affect my mpg or power

No mufflers at all if you are running 4 cats. If you are cutting the back 2 off I'd go with the dynomax bullets.

will that reduce power? screw with my gas mileage?

An H pipe will be louder than an X pipe. Both will fit. What year is your truck? Bullets are 1-2 decibels quieter than straights, but sound is muuuuch better on bullets.

Well "sound" is a matter of opinion. If yours is like mine, just unbolt the stocker and see just how it sounds, that should give you a better idea. In my opinion it dosen't sound bad at all, nothing like the old school typical "neck" pickup sound. As far as performance goes, it seems that I read about 3 page sticky on exhausts and back pressure.........

You haven't explained yourself...

How loud do you want it?

Do you want an exhaust strictly for sound, or are you looking to get ever bit of power you can?

You can keep all 4 cats, remove the rear 2, or chop off all 4 and replace with high flows. Bullets or magnapacks on either of those

I would add true dual bullets or magnapacks, you decide. H pipe for a choppier sound and X pipe for a smooth sound. If you want it louder, you can deal with the cats.

Well... If you don't want loud, don't go with magnapacks or bullets...

start youtubing... Find a sound you like

If you don't want to hinder performance, stay away from chambered and turbo mufflers.

Thrush, Flowmaster certain Dynomaxs.. Cherrybombs.....etc..

You want a straight through for unrestricted flow and optimum velocity..

power loss won't be noticable, but it can get to ya mentally....

Borla is probably the best sounding muffler IMO. Deep and sounds good.
