00 f150 exhaust remove

00 f150 exhaust remove

5.4l my u bolt rusted off of where the mufller meets the exhaust pipe most of the hangers rusted off.. How do i remove the muffler its held up by front hangers. i tried to slide it off thats how it looks like it comes off but wont.. any ideas.. do not want to cut

heat the hell out of it and use something like PB blaster and just twist it back and forth and see if you can get it started. once it's started you should be able to get it off.

yea it may not work but that's just about it except cutting but you said you don't want to. get it red and it should start moving

spray some wd-40 in the rubber vibration isolators and the hangers will pop right out and for the u-bolts good luck, try pb blaster, heat it up with a torch, hit with a hammer. i used a sawzall when i did my exhaust.

for my u-bolts they were so rusted they broke in alot of pieces when i took a wrench and tried loosening them.

all my u bolts ruseted off allready.. and the only hanger still able to hod anything is the tailpipe one.. i want to take the muffler of to take strain off the exhaust for now.. till i get time to fix the hangers

so i got it off..straight pipe FTW btw.

But it took a strap and a raptor to get it off.. fist i pulled with the f150 it pulled the raptor back (raptor was on snow) than i pulled with raptor came off..
