Anyone ever have a hole in their manifold?

Leaks from the manifold are normally from the exhaust gaskets.

could those cause the dreaded 171&174 codes? I have been chasing these codes for over TWO months and I have replaced just about everything you can think of w/ the exception of the intake gaskets.
