california legal exhaust??

would like to upgrade exhause prior to whipple install on 07. of course the biggest problem here is that i live in CA and we are limited. no longtube headers

i don't care about the sound. in fact, i would like it to remain as quiet as possible and maintain the sleeper look. any mods are for performance gain... improved sound is good, but loud is not a prerequisite......

Leave it stock if you want it quiet and to keep the sleeper look. I know I wouldnt expect a truck with a stock exhaust to be packing a whipple.

I'm not sure on how much of a performance gain you would get out of shorty headers. But I know those are legal in California. Definitely would like to see your truck with that whipple when I get back. That is gonna be sick!!

Research the dynomax VT muffler. It has some valve in it to keep the sound down, you might want to check flow numbers though. Never seen one so zero first hand experience. If you want it to not make a racket put the biggest body muffler you can find back on the truck from your favorite muffler company, I personally like Bassani & Corsa but those are a tad on the obnoxious side .
