What?

You have missed entirely the content of this thread, especially the part where the ad says the y-pipe is T304 stainless!

Yes really... You bought something for a lot cheaper than it should be and took a chance. Chalk it up as a loss and replace it with a better quality X-pipe.

I don't understand why people are shocked when they pay rock bottom prices on Ebay and when something goes wrong, they are surprised. Unless you are buying from a large ebay store, you have to do your research and make sure everything is 100% before you buy it.

Had you bought that X-pipe from an exhaust shop or something, then I would be like "WTF go return it no matter how long it has been."

Your argument holds no water.

The pipe was t304 in the ad. The only thing the OP did wrong was buy from a seller that is using false advertisement to sell a product.

I understood your point the first time. You haven't stated anything that anyone else didn't already know. The point is that the ebay seller falsely advertised the product as T304 stainless steel. I bought this x-pipe based on recommendations from this site as a "good deal" on a stainless x-pipe. I wanted to warn others that this in fact is not a "stainless" x-pipe.

I don't really give a ***** enough right now to "replace it with a quality x-pipe". It's already installed and it's not leaking or anything, so it will stay put until it needs replaced. Next time I spend the extra dough for a magnaflow unit...

I have a very similar one, dont think i have any major rusting issues. The guy that welded up my exhaust spray painted alot the exhaust and all the welds to prevent rust.....

its dark after 2 years, but not bad

Patman,

on a total side note...I like the sound of your exhaust. I have true duals just like yours with twin bullets on my 2002 supercrew 5.4L. However, I think yours sounds louder. I have all four stock cats still. It looks like in the picture that you have all four cats still too. But you mentioned gutting your pre-cats? Is that all you have done? If so, it seemed to really make a difference between mine and yours.

^ Don't gut, replace with pipe! The main purpose of that pre-cat is emissions, not sound reduction. If that was the case, then they would have used a resonator down stream, or just made the 55 gallon drum muffler a 60 gallon drum muffler.

to the op just email them and tell them the concerns, be nice and firm. if that doesnt work let them know you will notify a complaint for false advertisement. if they are a well known seller they will usually respond. who knows they may make good and you just be out replacement cost(cut and install of new)

copied from their ad;

Our customers satisfaction is the most important thing to us. We will maintain an excellent feedback rating as proof of that. In the rare instance where you receive a part in error, or there was an error in the listing contact us immediately to resolve the issue. We will send a prepaid call tag to pick up the item and give you a FULL REFUND. Returns must be in their original boxes and in saleable condition.

YOU MUST CONTACT US BEFORE YOU RETURN ANY ITEM. WE MUST ISSUE AN RGA (RETURN GOODS AUTHORIZATION) NUMBER TO BE ABLE TO KNOW WHO THE PART BELONGS TO SO WE CAN REFUND THE CORRECT BUYER. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN LONGER PROCESSING TIME OR FAILURE TO GET A REFUND UNTIL YOU CONTACT US.

Items with missing parts or warranty items: contact us immediately to solve the issue. These issues will be resolved at no expense to the buyer, but they have to be handled on an individual basis.

If for some reason you are not satisfied with what you bought send it back to us and we will refund the purchase price minus shipping costs.
