Bored with Curent Setup

I've had my current setup for less than a year and I'm already bored with it. I've got a 2007 Lariat 5.4 with Maggie high flow cats and a Maggie catback with an 18in muffler. (I know, I know, I wasted money going the catback route and I won't be making that mistake again.)

I'm wanting to go true duals with a Maggie x-pipe. I've been watching videos on YouTube but with my crappy laptop speakers, everything pretty much sounds the same. I really like the avfrog's Borla ProXS setup, WhiteRoush3's Borla XR1 setup, and 4.6 punisher's Magnapack setup.

First, what's the difference between the ProXS and XR1? Secondly what kind of volume and tone change would I be looking at compared to my current setup? (Currently my exhaust exits straight out the back. On my next setup I want them 45'd out the back.)

Thanks for any help y'all can provide.

Xr1s are louder than ProXS, and pretty damn near the same volume as magnapack. Honestly, dual XR1s is THE best you can go. Sounds ridiculous. At 45d instead of 90 i think it sounds better bc the sound will project off of walls and cars more, and you can hear it on both sides of the truck.

So my consensus is:

True Dual Borla XR1 with X pipe WITH maggie high flows 45d behind each rear tire is the ultimate setup. It will definately be louder than your current setup.

The only downside to Borla's is the price tag. I think it's like $100+ per muffler!

I don't know one person that has a borla. Would love to hear one up close. That being said I love the sound of my Magnaflow set up. 94106 cats, 10791 X-pipe, 10416 mufflers, and 35117 tips. Pure music to my ears. Another loud Pack is the 14156. Even louder than mine.

Any drone with yours? I had a Flowmaster 40 dumped over the axel on my old ZR2 Blazer and that POS would rattle the cab.

How much louder would you say your new exhaust is compared to the MBRP?

Yeah, there's drone around 1800-1900 rpms but it's not too awful bad especially if you have the radio on. Easily as loud as my last setup, the 40 series SIDO, but not sounding like a POC. Has a great clean deep sound. If I had to guess it would be about 25% louder throughout the RPM range, both cold and warm, than the MBRP with the high flow cats.

And from my experience, a dumped muffler and a SUV is the worst possible scenario for cab drone. SUVs are bad for drone. Dumps are bad for drone. Put them both together and you have a compounded problem.
