Roush Intake
Roush Intake
So I installed my intake the other day and holy crap what a difference. I can't wait to put on the headers and exhaust and when PHP gets my tunes done I will have a completely different truck. Can't wait to see how she runs when everything is done.
All aftermarket intakes do. You're also only getting a fraction of the power without one.

Thats mind boggling that a company so involved with the manufacturer themselves would let something be sold that is going to damage your engine.
They don't even make the intake, Airaid does. Roush just slaps a new name across the top and calls it theirs.
Is there anyone on this sight that can document the actual damage to an engine as a result of installing an aftermarket intake?
What was damaged? Piston? Valves?
Photos would be great.
I was told it may throw a code but would not damage anything. In fact PHP online service told me that I could go ahead and install my headers with no cats and it wouldn't harm the engine I may just get a code, so I plan to do that why I wait for the custom tunes.
The only thing I do notice with the CAI is it obviously brings in much more air which tends to make the engine almost hesitate a little if you get on it. Almost like it can't compute fast enough.

How lomg does something like that take. I am not real savy when it comes down to the details. I thought your ecu compensates and adjust. Having a CAI without a programmer under normal driving conditions how long would something like that take?
