One or Two??

For mufflers in a cat-back system, is there any benefit or reason to go one way or the other? Right now I have SI/DO Flowmaster but thinking about doing some changing...kinda bored with my current pipes. I was looking around but didn't see much on doing a Y after the cat and running two mufflers...anyone ever compared to notice a difference in sound?? I would venture there'd be absolutely no difference in performance.

I would stick with single muffler. If you spend that much money for two mufflers I would do true duels although I am a hypocrite as I went from true duels to single in duel out lol
