header fitting

Anyone with a 4x4 73-79 f100/150 v8, could you post some pics here to show me ways of routing an exhaust with headers? I have a 75 f100 4x4 with a 390/t18, and at some point i want to get headers. I just dont know which way ill have to run the pipes. I've seen both go below the cross member for the transfer case then back up between the frame and stay on each side of the truck. The the other way obviously it to route both of them through the right side of the cross member, then have them go to both sides again. I have no body lift, and the radius arms have not been dropped.

depends on what you want, I have both sides (2.5 inch pipes) above the cross member with an H-pipe crossover on my '65 and then they exit on both sides behind the rear wheels with 3 x 18 inch tips, the glass packs are behind the cab (under the bed) to keep interior noise down

I'd look into routing them that way, but i can't do that with a 75. If i did a 3"body lift then maybe, but that's not happenin for now. I posted this on the fordtruck forum also and i guess the headers should exit low enough that i can route the pipes down below the crossmember. I don't care how it works, as long as it's the cheapest way to get it done, and still not look half bad, and sound great!
