aFe catback

was thinking about getting an aFe catback. anyone have any info on them?

You would be dumb to pay $500 dollars for that. Just order a muffler of your choice and have a shop put it in and add a tip to your stock tail pipe. You will save big, and you can pick out the muffler that you really want, instead of guessing what this thing will sound like.

Given there will be ~<1-2 hp, if any, gain - this is simpy outrageous.

And that 'turbo' muffler (btw - exactly WTF is a 'turbo' muffler? ) is almost certainly a chambered POS. Which, of course, actually sends TQ south - so much fer 'raging' increases

Like Senor Frog suggests - go get something you like and be happy.

I guess the frog is right, ordering a magnaflow 5x11x22 muffler for Christmas

yeah, don't want it too loud. something with a little more bark than stock. I have one the same size on my turbo beetle and it sounds great.
