Exhaust time...

It's time to upgrade my exhaust. Is there much difference in the sound a 2 valve 5.4L produces vs a 3 Valve? I really liked the sound out of my '02, I just had a y pipe, no mufflers with duels out the back. Cats were left alone. I was thinking about the same setup for my '04. I've listened to several clips with this setup, but they all sound different and it's hard to guess how loud they really are. My '02 wasn't overly loud and not much drone at all. I've considered the dynamax bullet also. I had a flowmaster SI/DO on my '02, when it rusted out is when I went to the y pipe. I didn't notice much difference between the two.

3 valve will be a bit louder. I would go either dynomax bullet with a Y pipe and duals out the back, magnaflow magnapack, or borla XR1.

I've heard that the 2 valves were louder. I don't think it's noticeable enough to tell.

Bullet in place of stock muffler, Y pipe after bullet, dual tails ran in your choice of location. Inexpensive, simple, and sounds great on these trucks.
