Need Help badly with AEM Brute Force intake

I just installed the AEM brute force intake on my 08 5.4L this after noon and I reset the ECM and then I let it idle for a few minutes before taking off. Well I hit the gas and it bogged down so bad I barely moved. Anyone else ever have an issue with this?

I have an edge programmer and an exhaust as the only other performance mods...

please need help quickly...

#1 - remove the hot air intake and don't re install it until you get a custom tune...

#2 - hopefully you haven't ruined your engine

I reset the programming to stock on the programmer and now the truck is running better. I'm probably still going to remove it tomorrow.

I urge you to take advantage of the 100s of threads about A/M intakes (and any future mod).

Many have gone before you; no sense in making the same mistakes...

You NEED to remove that intake unless you HAVE a tune. Your engine will run too lean. A lean engine can and WILL lead to engine damage.

The Edge tunes are written for stock intakes.

If I reset the ECM to stock with the programmer and leave the intake on will it be fine until I get my programmer back?
