Shorites in CA

Well I'm about to buy some shorties off a member here on Monday and I just wanted to double check with other Californiaians in here.

I did my research and I'm 99% I'm good to go, but just double checking.

I'm about to buy a pair of Pacesetter short tube headers. They come with an executive order #. So I am assuming that they are CARB legal and will pass CA's SMOG?

Thanks to everyone who replies!

And PS I know LT's are better, but I can't have those in Commiefornia.

I know the JBAs are CARB certified, not sure about the pacesetters. Try calling them to find out. Just had my first smog inspection and they really do look at everything, so make sure before you buy.

I'm not worried about the visual, since I know my smog guy personally. I checked Pacesetters website and it says this:

50-states legal, C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-439-5

So I'm assuming I am good to go.

Yeah you should be fine. I passed with the CARB certified K&N intake system with Custom Tuning on my computer.

There are long tube headers that are 50 state legal and come with an executive order (as long as you keep your OEM cats), i was told. Im still looking for them!

Longtubes are not legal in California. You can't move the cats from the stock location and be legal in California. This is from the State Ref, been there and never again, LOL!

You would have to push the cats father downstream to fit the larger longtubes, and that is illegal. They must remain in stock location. Pretty stingy laws, I know. :o
