Sorry about the stupid questions but im not exactly well versed when it comes to exhaust.
might have some alignment issues unless you have a pipe bender, a exhaust shop will be able to swap them out pretty cheap though.

ok so your advice would be to get the 3" and then swap out the pipe?

Well if you want your truck to be loud a single exit exhaust won't give you that. If you want really cheap. Just buy the muffler and use a hacksaw and cut off you exhaust infront of the muffler and clamp on the new muffler and have it dumped. That will be loud and very deep tone. Or take it to a exhaust shop and have them do it.

It sounds like you're not a big fan of that idea. What would you do if you were me?

i used to have a dumped FM40 on my old truck till i changed to straight pipes. i was suggesting the dumped muffler because it is the cheapest and sounds really good.

if i were you, id be running what im running haha!! but every person is different you know, how much do you have to spend and what exactly do you want out of your exhaust?

o ok i just misinterpreted lol. basically im not lookin to spend much over 100 for the muffler but since these sound pretty good and arent rediculously expensive i figured id go with them. Basically what i wanna do is just buy a replacement muffler because that seems to be cheapest. What im kinda getting at is can i take the truck to the shop , have the old muffler cut off and the new one welded on with no problems? lol sorry it took so long to get that out.

yeah, but if you keep the pipe after the muffler it wont near as loud as what you want, it will almost sound stock.

your gas mileage will go down because you will be enjoying the sound and nailing the gas all the time!!!

but if you are able to keep your foot out of it, it could go up a little.
