MAC intake systems

Just wondering if anyone has input on these? I know a lot of people recommend the K&N FIPK 57 series, but I am a poor college student lol. I tried the "gotts mod" for 04-08 F-150, and I really didn't notice a difference, at least nothing significant in the power & acceleration department but I did in the mpg.

Was looking for a stock replacement K&N/AFE on ebay and ran across this add:
http://www.macperformance.com/Online...5-06%20WEB.pdf. Just wondering.

On a side note, would i notice a difference running a K&N/AFE stock replacement over the fram filter or just save beer cans for a "real" CAI and run the fram for now?

I have a 05 f150 5.4 w/ gotts mod and fram filter and s/s 40 series flow.

Thanks

Jake

The Gotts mod is as good as it gets unless you want to fork out more dough for a programmer with custom tunes.......even at that the cai may not help along with the tunes......save your money and stick with the Gotts mod if your a poor college kid.
