Thanks on all the info, I hadn't seen pacesetter had released a LT for the 97-99's. Thanks Ray. On pacesetters site they are under the quick trip long tube section.

If you get them put on before i do let us know how they fit, I'm still waiting on a bottom end so I will be a while before installing them.

The OBX seem like a good buy for the money. Those are on my list

Patrick, - since you have worked with both OBX & Pacesetter headers, which were longer and stretched out ? By stretched out, I'm referring to the primary's radius from the heads, then overall header length differences..

ive never had probs with pacesetters yes they rust but what in michigan doesnt?? its very thick carbon steel 16GA.

ive never seen or helped anyone with OBX but i heard the welds at the collectors are somtimes shotty.

i guess to each his own. i like good ole american steel for my headers you guys can keep your made in china OBX's

I think i've heard the welds suck on obx's too, and i believe the pacesetters are cheaper.
They worked, BUT i also wasn't thrilled with the pacesetter quality at all. On one of the primaries you couldn't even get a bolt in the flange bc the primary was at such a sharp angle coming off the flange. There def made cheap.

offroadin i still say you got the wrong headers.

the only bolt i had trouble with was the first primary driver side. i used an open end wrench for about 5 mins and it tightend down.

now on my shortys that was a diff story i had to cut a bolt almost in half to get it behide a primary

the reason people spend the extra on OBX is there Stainless steel.

but im used to things rustin and the VHT paint worked very well.

haha Mine are rusted some not bad tho just a little i actually vht'd mine which i didn't think would help too much but it turns out maybe it does some.
Also i get what you mean i might have got the wrong set but even then you should be able to get the bolts in'em, i just thought it was crappy fabrication. I'd buy them again tho bc they're cheap! lol

haha. yeah my shortys rusted out in 2 weeks after installing because i didnt high temp paint them.

They were on for a year i went to longtubes sold the shortys for 100 bucks....and they looked like this....

parts of my VHT have rusted the collectors still look brand new painted thoe.

im not worryed about them falling apart because i live in michigan everything under my truck is rust. gotta love snow and salt!!!
