High Flows vs. Resonators (with longtubes)

Is it worth swapping over to high flows?

Power/torque increase?
Sound better?
Pass emissions?

Just considering swapping out my resonators with maggie high flows in the near future and going to a borla xr muffler as opposed to my current setup
The Current Setup
OBX Long Tubes w/Resonators
X pipe (ebay)
2 dynomax bullets
2 4" tips

The Proposed Setup
OBX Long Tubes w/High Flows
X pipe (ebay)
Borla Xr1 Mufflers
2 4" tips

Or should I stick with high flows and bullets, or just leave it how it is?

The only plus to hi-flows is the ability to pass emissions. I'm pretty sure there aren't any noticeable sound differences. You will be able to tell a tone change going from Bullets to XR1's, but volume should be about the same.

Yeah I've read somewhere that high flows vs resonators will be clearing sounding, sort of like the magnapack vs bullet comparison in quality of the sound of the exhaust

Can't exactly remember the emissions here in NV but last i checked it was if the vehicle was <5 years old there was no need for an emissions test, could be wrong, but I know for sure I won't pass so I could technically hold off until I really had to, maybe then the prices would have gone down

I never liked the high pitch rasp that my 14" oval body maggie produced at wot and i'd rather not go back to that, maybe whiteroush could chime in here considering he has pretty much the setup I plan on running except im 45d out the back
-I couldn't imagine starting up my truck on cold mornings with it exiting where his are located, I would set off alarms across the valley as opposed to my entire apartment complex

Hi-flows could be smoother/cleaner sounding, but cases like this are few and far between.

Hopefully he will share his insight with us.

Hi-flows will be quieter, and Borla XR1 will just sound better. I say just go with the XR1 and be done with it.
