Another muffler newbie question

...and yes I did try "search"

Is there an aftermarket muffler... or Ford substitute... that will "bolt in" in place of the stock Ford, leaving everything looking stock, but giving the truck a V8 "sound track"?

Yes.

Maggie 5x11x22 2.5" or 3" SISO (preferred)
Maggie 5x8x24 2.5" or 3" SISO

Either one will require a short piece of pipe to compensate for the garbage can size of the OEM ... and adapters to reduce/enlarge due to the 2.75" OEM pipe size ...

Be advised that you may/may not expereience some drone - only you will be able to determine if it is objectionable (it's subjective).

Also - that 2010 muffler is a straight-through design, flow well. is stainless and does not drone -

As for 'searchin' ...

AFAIK - on a '09-'10 5.4 it's 2.75" ...

Before I get flamed - there are other mufflers out there you may like ( Borla, etc) - you did not specify how loud you wanted it, and I assumed you wanted near-OEM levels. The shorter the body, the louder it will be.

Just steer clear of Fartmasters

Sweet Thanks!

On Magnaflow, they list a P/N 12579 and a P/N 12589.

They have the same outside specs (5x11x22) though the 79 is straight through and the 89 is offset.

any other differences? one louder than the other?
