headers and exhaust

The other morning when I started my truck I heard a tick - exhaust leak at the right hand manifold. I always (in the past) say when I pull a manifold, it is a good time to install headers. even though my truck is under wty. I smiled this morning and said to myself 'HEADER TIME"

so I went for a new set of JBA shorty stainless steel headers. I also decided to go with Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust sytem.

I already have a 3" cat back w/stainless steel bullet muffler. this system went on my truck the same week I drove it off the Lot.
I actually like the look of the systems that come out in front of the right rear tire. w/dual tips.
So I ordered the magnaflow system

Nice! No CEL's with the new headers or did you do something to bypass it? (sorry, I'm used to my Foreign cars, this will be my first modified Domestic)

True! but I live in Ca. and I could not find CA approved long tube headers. I don't think it was a waste. Yes, long tube woul have been better.

what I feel from my truck is an improvement. I got some of my bottom end back. and I still have a strong top end so I feel a little longer power band.

We will see. I am also changing my intake set up in a couple fof days. I am trying to make room for Dual batteries in my eng compartment. I am aking off the K&N CAI and installing the JLT Ram air system. I don't think I will lose anything. Of course I am getting the SCt w/the custom tune for the JLT. but the benefit is that I will have my second battery installed on the drivers side behind the headlight assy.

Looks good! That header on the passanger side looks like a bitch to install man. My long tube on that side wasnt easy but it didnt block the bolts like that does!
