Straight Pipe

Hey, my name's Jon and I'm new to the F-150. I bought the newer style 04 last month and was hoping someone on here could answer a muffler question..and I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't seem to find it

1) Will my engine's computer compensate fuel:air if I cut the muffler out for a straight pipe?

On another note: does anyone have any ideas for a single sub speaker? There isn't much room in this supercab.

Thanks in advance!
Jon

^ For the most part yes, but it will sound like crap. You could try asking about the sub in the audio section?

I basically have just straight pipe from the cats back no muffler, well an H bend also when the pipes come together right after the cats, I like the sound of mine.

Just leave the cats and the sensors on. You can take off the muffler though. I just recommend adding some pipe so it exits behind your cab. Over here there is a law saying the exhaust must exit 12 inches behind the cab. I think it also makes it sound better from the cab if the pipe is extended a bit.

There are all kinds of options for sound. I've got a regular cab and was able to fit two subs, two aux speakers and the amps for both systems.

You should look into shallow subs, you could almost build a ported box to fit that would have the amp and sub together with a ported hole that helps cool the amp.
